“Lost” by "Harpool"

For those of you that visit this site I’m sure you’ve noticed that I not only showcase music I adore, but music that was forgotten, unnoticed, or was unconventionally influential. Sure, I too enjoy pop songs, but I also seek music that challenges the listener. This song falls into that category. 

There is a lot going on with this genre bending track. It’s energetic, slightly haunting, and otherworldly while also winking at the 80’s, punk, and prog rock. Oh, and it has an eerily addictive chorus.

Hunter Zach, the mind behind Hear The Taste, might be too foreign for most pallets, but his ideas lean on brilliant, and someday the average listener might catch up to him.
